We are always looking at ways to enhance the wellbeing of our pupils and we are delighted to announce that we are offering our pupils the chance to take part in an exciting new challenge, which is being organised by former Leeds Rhinos Rugby League player, Jamie Peacock.
Jamie Peacock, Leeds Rhinos Rugby League legend,
“I was able to excel in my career because of my focus and understanding of the importance of wellbeing. If you don’t know already, wellbeing consists of 4 areas:
Positive Mindset
Sleeping Well,
Physical Activity
Eating Healthily”
This programme is suitable for pupils in the UK aged 10 and over.
How do I access the challenge?
To register for the challenge please complete the below link:
https://us02web.zoom.us/…/reg…/WN_tUxmejNCTbq5r-Uk_6czXA
Jamie Peacock In Partnership with Schools Advisory Service is pleased to share the Be A Champion 30 Day Pupil Wellbeing Programme. Jamie and SAS wanted to help schools, academies and parents / guardians with resources to support their pupils and to empower young people to look after their mental and physical wellbeing.
Jamie will introduce the 30 day challenge during a webinar where he will discuss his experience and how working on the four areas of wellbeing have affected his career and helped Jamie be a champion.
Every person that signs up will receive pages needed for week 1 in the form of a digital book and can request a hard copy sent to them in the post. Jamie will provide updates on tasks for the 30 day challenge once a week with another short webinar at the end of the 30 days.

When children are required to be at home, and unable to attend school – the learning does not stop at Ox Close Primary.

Since October 2020, schools have been required by law to provide effective education to those children who are unable to access face to face teaching; Ox Close Primary has risen to the challenge.

Further information regarding our Remote Learning Offer can be found here:

If you have any further questions then please do not hesitate to contact Miss Bowden, Head of School.

Spring Term – End of Week 2

15th January 2021 By annabowden

Huge well done to all of the children for being amazing this week – we have had great levels of engagement once again in the live lessons and the children in school are also working very hard.

Staff have been really impressed with all of the work that has been coming in – keep up the hard work.

That goes to the parents/carers – huge well done to you as well as I know it is not easy juggling everything.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend,

Miss Bowden
